Borland CEO Resigns, Becomes VMware COO
Infoworld reports that Tod Nielsen, CEO of Borland Software, has resigned to take a newly created position at VMware: Chief Operating Officer.
In his new position, Nielsen will be reporting to CEO Paul Maritz, according to CNET News. Nielsen will focus on business, marketing and operations, freeing Maritz up to concentrate on other areas.
In a separate statement, Borland announced that it is in the midst of a significant reorganization in which it will cut its workforce by 15 percent. Erik Prusch, who had served as Borland CFO, will serve as Borland’s acting president and CEO.
